May 2001 Dear Readers, This month´s postcard is of Thomas Hensen in his studio; a painter and sculptor living in the same factory as me. We sometimes cross paths and sit up late drinking cheap wine and talking about Gott und die Welt (which usually means "women and the problems of financing our projects"). With his academic background and experiences in Germany and Spain, and fishing prowess, he has become a good friend and valuable aid to survival (and he´s got a car, in which we carried six large, wet prints back to our factory at 1 o´clock this morning!). "Cheers Tom!" With Summer now revealing itself with the blue skies, green fields, and blooms everywhere (have I already mentioned that this region is extremely famous for its wirklich schöne Frauen?), spirits are up and everything is in full swing. This actually means I have loads of students to deal with while I, once again, frantically try to get material developed, printed, and sorted for the next four exhibitions: two solos and one group show here, and a show in Krakow. Dunno how this all came up at once, but I´ll try to explain later. Dean
