Dear PM Readers,
Recently started using and enjoying my "LOMO" a lot more (a very simple russian 35mm compact - cult following - loads of sometimes interesting web sites). It requires a different mentality: its shocking lens quality forces one to concentrate much more on mood and "the moment". You have no chance to do otherwise: an objective lesson (good pun, huh?) in loosening up ("hi François!") and breaking all the rules, although in reality of course this mustn´t be the case. It´s just an approach to learning to see differently, and any benefits should be transferable to the "serious" stuff.
Free time is now mostly dedicated to the darkroom and the preparation for upcoming shows (Krakow is confirmed for September), although I´m still managing a little background research for other projects: inspiration is everywhere!...something to do with responsibility and the search for beauty, in all things...but for another postcard.
The Muse is Susi...found her in a bar: incredible eyes five seconds, Lomo about a tenth.
