27 April - Road ends in Gisborne
The first thing I did...I had to do...after arriving in Gisborne, was to go directly to the ocean. This is where my father grew up, and I used to go as a small boy...fishing, swimming or just exploring. Many of my strongest memories are here. It is also the first point of this land found by Captain Cook in 1769
